Why Use Maid For You New York, Inc. For Your Carpet
Cleaning Service?
Most Carpet
Cleaners Use A Manual Extraction Wand
• Only cleans carpets from
2 directions (back and forth) with a couple of cleaning
passes.
• Relies on the strength and energy of the worker
• Leaves many tough stains and shadowing in the
carpet
Maid For
You New York, Inc. Uses the Rotovac Powerwand®
• Cleans carpets from all directions with hundreds
of cleaning passes
• High torque motors do not get tired so the quality
is consistent throughout the entire carpet cleaning
job
• Restores matted traffic areas in carpet and
removes tough stains and shadowing that the manual wand
leaves behind with most carpet cleaning equipment.
What can
you do to prepare for your carpet cleaning service:
• Move small items and breakables from the area
to be cleaned.
• If there is any furniture we will be moving,
cleaning under, and then replacing, it will be necessary
to remove all excess weight such as books and knick-knacks,
and especially drawers that are full of heavy items.
• Please advise your Carpet Cleaning Specialist
about any special requirements to follow on moving your
furniture, i.e., weak legs, loose tops, etc. We will
only move furniture that is reasonably movable for one
man.
• China cabinets cannot be moved unless completely
emptied of all breakables.
• Any small pieces of furniture such as dining
room chairs, magazine racks, etc. that you can remove
from the carpet to be cleaned will shorten processing
time and return the carpet to normal use sooner.
What you
can expect your cleaning technician to do:
• Pre-inspection:
We will evaluate your carpet's needs. Every carpet must
be treated differently. We will decide what will be
the best method for cleaning your carpet. You will know
up front what we can and can't do. This way there are
no surprises.
• Moving Furniture:
When necessary we will move and replace small furniture
in its original position.
• Pre-treatment:
We treat spots and stains in the carpet as necessary
and apply a carpet cleaning solution to the entire carpet.
• Carpet Cleaning:
We use our state-of-the-art
Rotovac equipment
for a fast and thorough deep cleaning of your carpet.
• Post-inspection: Once
the project is completed, we re-inspect the carpet cleaning
services with you to ensure that all the work was done
to your satisfaction.
• Protect & Groom:
When necessary we will place blocks or foil under furniture
legs to protect them during the drying process and groom
the carpet for a clean inviting look.
What you
should do after the carpet cleaning:
• To decrease drying time try to keep the room
temperature about 72 degrees and use fans to circulate
the air around the cleaned carpet.
HOW OFTEN
SHOULD CARPETS BE CLEANED?
As explained earlier, vacuuming alone, although essential,
cannot maintain the appearance of a carpet at an acceptable
level for long. Depending on various factors, the appearance
of any carpet will ultimately reach an unacceptable
level. At that stage, cleaning is necessary by one of
the methods mentioned above. The frequency of such cleaning
will depend on a carpet's use conditions, soil conditions,
fiber type, constructional specifications, color, etc.
In general, residential carpet requires cleaning within
one to one and one-half years; certainly before two
years of use (and possible abuse). Commercial carpet
cleaning should be performed every 6-12 months, depending
on the volume of traffic.
Carpet
Protector (Optional)
A chemical treatment, which resists soiling and helps
prevent water based spots and spills from becoming hard
to remove stains.
A professional spray-treatment with “Scotchguard”
Carpet Protector provides a barrier that makes it difficult
for dirt particles to cling to carpet fibers. Routine
vacuuming becomes more effective. Your carpet looks
cleaner longer. And a cleaner carpet means less wear
and a brighter appearance. With this long lasting barrier
on your carpet, most spills can be easily cleaned up.
Thoroughly
tested
This newest “Scotchguard” Protector is one
of a family of “Scotchguard” products that
have been developed over the last 25 years. It is backed
by the same meticulous quality standards that have made
the name “Scotchguard” synonymous with fabric
protection.
Keeps your
freshly cleaned carpeting looking new longer
Since carpets treated with “Scotchguard”
Carpet Protector look clean longer, time between cleanings
can be extended. Dry soil is held loosely between the
treated carpet fibers and can be easily removed with
simple vacuuming. Routine cleaning and spotting becomes
more effective, and most spills can be quickly removed.
“Scotchguard” protection will last even
under heavy traffic and regular vacuuming.
Easily
applied
New “Scotchguard” Carpet Protector can be
quickly and easily applied with our selection of quality
pump-up and electric sprayers. No complicated time consuming
procedures are required. In fact it takes only one quarter
of the time normally required for rotary shampooing
to provide you and your customers carpets with this
lasting protection.
Just how
does “Scotchguard” Carpet Protector work?
“Scotchguard” Carpet Protector has unique
flurochemical properties that make it incompatible with
dust, dirt and grime. This protective flurochemical
barrier helps prevent dry soil, oil and water based
soils from marring ones carpet’s appearance because
the “Scotchguard” protection helps keep
these soiling agents from penetrating the carpet fibers.
What kinds
or carpeting?
“Scotchguard” Carpet Protector will provide
protection when sprayed on most typed of carpeting including
nylon, polyester, acrylic and wool.
Caring
for treated carpet
Regular vacuuming will help keep your “Scotchguard”
treated carpeting bright and attractive. Daily vacuuming
of traffic areas will help prevent soil build-up below
the surface where it tends to abrade the carpet fibers.
And vacuuming will be more effective on all types of
carpeting including shags, cut pile, looped pile and
sculptured patterns.
When spills
happen
“Scotchguard” Carpet Protector helps to
prevent spots and spills from becoming hard-to-remove
stains. On carpets treated with “Scotchguard”
Carpet Protector most spills can be easily cleaned up.
